“Wonders Of Christmas & Fashions Of Splendor” tea November 30

The “Wonders Of Christmas & Fashions Of Splendor” will be the theme for the Wrote Ministries Pre Christmas Tea, Saturday, November 30, 2-4:30 p.m. at Lawrence Welk Resort in Escondido, 

At the event, Chef Daniel will introduce his special tea foods and desserts. 

The “greens” view will overlook the Welk golf course as the program spotlights “Fashions Of Splendor”, enhanced with sophisticated men’s apparel from the Friar Tux Shop in Escondido.

The gowns will be shown by David’s Bridal of San Diego and  modeled by Victoria Noelle Bry, (daughter Of Alexandra Bry), Lauren Carroll, (daughter of Ruth Carroll), Brooke Hernandez, (daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hector Hernandez), Sabrina Keehner, (daughter of Joseph Keehner & Dawn Smith),  Vanessa Saldivar, (daughter of Benito Saldivar), Mckenna Sandstrom, (daughter of Mr. &  Mrs. Derik Sandstrom), Monica Soberon, daughter of Sharon Soberon, and sisters, Brielle Kamea & Brooke Kaira Young, (daughters of Mrs. Maryanne Young and the late Greg Young.)

The program will feature Heidi Fleischbein, international harpist, who received her music degree from Concordia University Irvine.  She studies harp under Elena Mashkovtseva and studied previously under Mindy Ball and Melissa Morgan.  

Soloists will include baritone Keegan Bushouer, who was lead singer in various plays at MIRA Mesa  High School and later as a college student. he was invited to be choreographer for one of their performances last fall, and has performed at several Wrote Ministry events.  He plans to interview for an audition with “America’s Got Talent” this month.  

Miss Mckenna Sandstrom says singing is at the top of her “interest list.” This desire came to fruition when she had the opportunity to sing  at a  number of plays while attending high school.  She attends Cal State University San Marcos carrying a double major in psychology and criminal justice.  Both students also hold jobs in the food industry.

Guests of honor for the fashion show ‘finale’ will be children, Selah Wootton and Shiloh Mattson.

Attendees will be encouraged to network and learn about different companies in San Diego county. 

Guest motivational and inspirational speaker Cathi Armitage will share her  ‘journey in life.’ Armitage serves on a team with Global Ministries, which trains leaders and outreaches to 181 countries. She also works with the “Moms In Prayer” Ministry.

   To meet the nonprofit group’s fundraising goal, there will be a  silent auction to entice Christmas shoppers  and tickets available for door prizes.

Wrote Ministries & Networking With Purpose is 501 (3) (C) tax exempt.  Proceeds will be ear marked to financially assist “single moms with children in need.”  Potentially, the group would like to reach out and help any of the children and teens who are recovering from human trafficking.  Wrote Ministries holds one to two events annually to help San Diego families and has also reached into Riverside County. 

The all-volunteer group  has been active  since 2009 and all events are open to the public, seating capacity permitting.   Five students, who qualified as ‘role models’  received a 

Scholarship last June as a result of the Wrote  “Awards Competition” which was judged by several area business owners with no connection to the candidates.
