The second Friday of Escondido’s 27 week celebration of America’s love affair with classic automobiles will feature the Tradition of the Willys Parade, sponsored by Aelott Air Conditioning of Escondido.
From 40-50 examples of this classic Willy’s Americar from the manufacturer— Willys Overland Motors, which designed the first Jeep for World War II—will be brought to Escondido by the Willys Club of America. The Willys Americar was manufactured from 1937-1942.
Crusin’ Grand begins at 5 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m. Grand Avenue remains open to “cruisin’. ”
In addition to all of the cars, visitors can check out the Wine & Craft beer tasting in the Maple Street Plaza and listen to music by Juniper Street, with artists to be announced, and Maple street Plaza, with the Santana Brothers. Music at Kalmia & Grand will be announced.
