On Saturday, September 12 from 1-7 p.m., the Warfighter Academy in downtown Escondido will hold a Pro 2A Freedom Festival at their facility, which will also be the grand opening of their business to the city.
The Warfighter Academy is run by combat veterans that have all gone above and beyond the call of duty. This business has offered them a place to transition into civilian life much better, as well as given them a new way to serve their country. In a 32,000 square foot training facility (formerly the Escondido Police Dept. building), the WA Instructors are able to train military forces, civilians, and law enforcement, as well as work on rehabilitating wounded warriors, giving them a place to feel at home again, free of charge.
The Warfighter Academy itself is located in Escondido (700 West Grand Ave, Escondido 92025). The Warfighter
Academy teaches tactics for military/ law enforcement to use in their day-to-day work, as well as home and personal defense to the civilians looking to defend themselves in light of all the tragedies occurring in the world. We currently train both active duty and retired military, all the way to housewives participating in training that are concerned with defending their home and their children.
The Pro 2A Freedom Festival on September 12th will be the introduction of the company to the public. There will be military heroes speaking, some of which that have been featured on the Military Channel.
It is a Family Friendly event–we will be having bouncy houses, food trucks, face painting, free tours of the facility, raffles, and more.
