“Art From The Heart”- a view of the world through the eyes of Valley Center artists, went on display September 17 in the Community Room at the Valley Center Library. The art exhibit is available for public viewing during normal library business hours.
The exhibit features the art of Valley Center Art Association Members. “Landscapes, still life, portraits, wildlife and even old trucks, there is something here for everyone,” VCAA President Barbara Graham told Times Advocate. “We are pleased that two new members to VCAA Joan McCurdy and Susan Keighley are exhibiting their art.”
The exhibit features mixed media, oils, photography and watercolors. “We are delighted by the vast amount of talent represented in the show,” said VCAA member Carolyn McGraw. “The artistic talent in Valley Center, Pauma Valley and the surrounding area is quite extraordinary.”
An artist “meet and greet is scheduled for November 7 from 2–4 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. More information about the reception will be published soon.
Those interested in purchasing paintings may contact the artists. Artist contact information can be found either in the artist biography book or business cards displayed near the kitchen service window in the Community Room.
The VCAA 2016 Open Art Show will be held November 21. VCAA members encourage all area artists to enter. Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded. Artists interested in submitting art for the art show may find more information on the VCAA web site. Art for the show will be accepted November 19.
