Vaqueros announce upcoming events

The Valley Center Vaqueros horse riding club have the following upcoming events at their facility at the corner of Lilac and Valley Center Roads.

• March 14 General Meeting and Horse Play— Noon.

This month’s general meeting will be held at the equine park, and will include a potluck lunch and play day with horses after the meeting. Join us as we discuss club events, plans for new facility and other topics.

• March 15, Desensitization Clinic – 9 a.m.

Open to all club members (day memberships also available) Clinician Erika Hunter will work with equines and their people to foster trust and respect. This is part one of a three part series.

• March 28, Mounted Shooting Clinic – 9 a.m.

Open to all club members (day memberships also available) this clinic. All you need to bring is your horse and tack. All equipment will be provided.

• April 18, Tack & Treasure – 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Have items you need to sell? Are you looking for new and “gently” used tack and items? Vendors and individuals will be onsite with tack and treasures galore!

• April 19, Rail Show – 9 a.m.

The second of this season’s rail shows will include English, Western and Trail classes. Ribbons are distributed through 5th place and year end high points and buckle series are also available. Club or day members.

All Vaqueros activities are geared towards club members. Not a member? Not sure if you are ready to be one? Attend one of their events and purchase a $5 day membership.
