Upsizing a water main

A contractor for the Rincon del Diablo water district at work on replacing and upsizing a water main.

The Rincon del Diablo Municipal Water District, which serves part of the city of Escondido, is replacing and upsizing the water line between the district’s Rockhoff Pump Station and its connection with the Vista Irrigation District Flume.

According to Rincon del Diablo water district Gen. Mgr. Greg Thomas, “This pipeline replacement has required the closure of Nutmeg Street between Gary Lane and Centre City Parkway.  Nutmeg Street should be re-opened the first week of February.  The district is also rebuilding and improving the Rockhoff Pump Station site, but that should have no effect on traffic.”

Detours signs are in place and emergency services have been notified.
