The several hundred student body of John Paul the Great University in downtown Escondido have been enjoying in-person classes for several weeks, after having had to start the school year learning remotely.
Much of the learning is taking place in outdoor classes under tents. President and Professor of Business Derry Connolly told The Times-Advocate: “We are back in-session, in-person outdoors – similar to mid-November. While a handful of students contracted COVID, we have thus far avoided any COVID community spread – thank God. Students appreciate greatly being on-campus and back in Escondido.”
The businesses along Grand Avenue also appreciate the presence of the students, who enjoy patronizing the dining establishments and are known for their respectful attitude and friendly behavior.
