Andreas Andreou (at right) and his crew at the Mission branch of Farmer Boys brought out their newest delicacy to share with the Times-Advocate reporter last week: The Smokehouse Bacon Cheeseburger. This is definitely a burger that you need to eat over the sink so that you won’t lose a single morsel.
Farmer Boys’ 19th annual fundraiser for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is in full swing, with the goal of surpassing $1,000,000 in donations (they’ve donated $869,000 to LLUCH since 2000 and are hoping to reach one million this year). Those are the hearts you see plastered in front of the county in the Escondido store.
Now through September 2, guests who donate $1 in-store will receive $1 off their next visit, and guests who donate $5 in-store will receive a FREE Big Cheese burger on their next visit. By donating a small amount to one of SoCal’s most acclaimed children’s hospitals, they can help provide world-class clinical care to those in need, while also receiving a little something for themselves.
