Traffic delays expected in Felicita area

Paving on Hamilton Lane – as part of the construction for the Southwest Sewer Realignment Project will cause delays in the Felicita area.

The Southwest Sewer Realignment Project is near completion.

According to the City of Escondido: “Traffic delays should be anticipated within the Felicita area. Paving activities are scheduled between August 28 to September 1, 2017, for the following streets: Hamilton Lane, Bernardo Ave, Park Drive, north end of Felicita Road at Monticello, and the south end of Felicita Road at Via Rancho Parkway. The paving activities and sequences will vary for different streets. Motorists should anticipate one lane of traffic which will be controlled by Flagmen to allow alternating patterns for traffic flow. This project is part of the City of Escondido’s Capital Improvements Program.”

The paving activities will be from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday — Friday.

During Hamilton Lane paving, alternate routes could be used that include; Acker Way to Dexter to Bernardo Avenue to Park Drive to Felicita. Eucalyptus Ave to Via Rancho Parkway. Bernardo Avenue to Felicita Lane to Via Rancho Parkway.

During Bernard Avenue work, routes could be used that include; Dexter to Acker Way to Hamilton. Bernardo Avenue to Felicita Lane to Via Rancho Parkway.

During Felicita Road (north end) work, routes could include Hamilton ln to Bernardo to Gamble Lane/Citracado Parkway. Gamble Lane to Bernardo Avenue to Park Drive.

It is highly encouraged that all motorists observe the warning signs –including No Parking signs – along the construction route and slow down while driving through the construction zone; including the detoured routes. Felicita Park should remain open during regularly scheduled times (unless the Park staff suggest otherwise.)
