Sweet Adelines and Girls Concert Choir
On Sunday May 20, at 3:30 pm, First United Methodist Church of Escondido (341 S. Kalmia St.) will host a choral concert featuring the San Diego Chorus Sweet Adelines International and the Girls Concert Choir of the San Diego Children’s Choir. This concert is part of the church’s 2017-18 Music Series. A free-will offering will be accepted, and a reception with the artists will follow the concert.
San Diego Chorus Sweet Adelines International (SDSA), is an a cappella chorus of women singing 4-part harmony, barbershop style. An internationally competitive performing arts group, SDSA strives to entertain in many musical genres (ranging from well-known standards to Broadway hits to modern gems), along with its signature vibrant choreography. SDSA is dedicated to local entertainment and offering women of all ages opportunities for musical and personal growth. Under the direction of Master Director Kathleen Hansen, SDSA is soaring into its 67th year to share its authentic, passionate and fun performances with the world. Cast votes early

TERC to meet May 21
Michael Vu, the San Diego County Registrar of Voters will be the guest speaker for The Escondido Republican Club on Monday, May 21.
Michael Vu has been serving at the Registrar since December 2012 and is responsible for election administration of one of the largest election jurisdictions in the country with a registered voter population of over 1.67 million.
The meeting will be held at the Cocina del Charro Restaurant, 890 W. Valley Parkway, Escondido. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch buffet service beginning at 11:45 a.m. The meeting will begin promptly at noon and conclude at 1 p.m.
