Heart of the City
An easy, three-mile hike on urban trails will follow the rail trail east and visit Hollandia and Mulberry Parks. A more challenging 8-mile hike with 580’ of elevation gain to the northern city limits will also be offered.

Arts & Crafts Bazaar
Chalice Unitarian Universalist church is having its annual arts and crafts bazaar on Saturday,
December 9, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2334 Miller Ave. in Escondido. The church is near the Felicita Avenue exit off I-15. Everyone is invited and the event is free. For the kids there will be craft projects, a book, “Mendings of Merely Manypockets,” by Jodi Ember Roney, and even Slime! For the adults, gift purchase ideas include jewelry, fiber arts and wearables, pottery, photography, over 20 unique booths in all. 7th annual Community in Unity
Join the Escondido Chamber of Commerce for its 7th Annual Community in Unity under the Escondido City Hall Dome on December 7, from 5:31 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Experience delights from local chefs, the city’s finest restaurants, wineries, and local micro-breweries. Entertainment from musical groups representing Escondido, will provide a festive atmosphere.
Guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys (ages newborn – 16) for the Escondido Police Departments Children’s Christmas Party and pajamas (front opening only, sizes newborn – 16) for Rady Children’s Hospital.
Tickets are now on sale for $25 if purchased by December 4, and $35 after December 4.
