OPEN HOUSE

Escondido Charter High School invites the public to its Open House celebrating the institution’s 20th anniversary. The open house is en­titled “Celebrating 20 years of pro­viding public educational choice.”

The open house begins at 6 p.m., when guests can tour the school, mix, mingle and enjoy refresh­ments in the theater’s lobby. A for­mal program will be held 6:45 p.m. in the theater.

CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING

Cruisin’ Grand, due to be held on Friday, April 8, was cancelled due to rain.

Due to the same reason the Wine, Craft & Bear Tasting event that was due to happen on the same evening on Maple Street Plaza was also postponed. The new date for the event will be Friday, June 3. Up­dated information will be posted ASAP by the city.

WALK FOR LIFE

Alternatives Women’s Center – Walk for Life, will be held April 23, Kit Carson Park, El Arroyo Picnic Area.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Walk begins at 9 a.m.

The walk is a short, easy dis­tance. Everyone can participate. All money raised goes to the ongo­ing expenses of alternatives in pro­viding free services that include: Pregnancy Tests, Limited Obstet­rical Ultrasounds, Education, and Community Referrals.

TARDE DE FAMILIA

Palomar College is hosting its bi-annual “Tarde de Familia” event at the Palomar College Escondido campus on Friday, April 15, from 6-8 pm.

Hear personal struggles and suc­cesses from Latino community pro­fessionals who have overcome ad­versity to achieve their educational and career goals in public safety.

Following the presentations, net­work with representatives from the various academic, student services and support programs available at Palomar College.

Special Appearances by Mercy Air helicopter, Escondido Fire Unit 1312, and Escondido Police K-9 unit!

Presentations will be in Spanish.

Complimentary Dinner & Park­ing.
