The Center Chorale at the California Center for Arts, Escondido will soon begin rehearsals for the coming 2017-18 season. The 50-voice ensemble is inviting new singers to participate in the coming year. All voice parts are open in the ensemble, by audition. The Center Chorale will be singing a new work A Time to Dance by English composer Alec Roth in the Concert Hall at CCAE. The work, only five years old, is a secular oratorio, in English, and accompanied by symphony orchestra, soloists, and the Mojalet Dance Collective dancers. The musical style of composer Roth follows in the footsteps of Ralph Vaughn Williams, and is melodic, very rhythmic and thoroughly entertaining.
The Center Chorale meets weekly at CCAE Studio One on Mondays, and will begin rehearsals on September 11 at 7 p.m. Singers interested in participating with The Center Chorale should phone 760 805 3945. For more information: www.escondidochoralarts.com
