EARTH DAY ESCONDIDO

Deputy Mayor Consuelo Martinez is hosting an in-district Community Meeting this Saturday, April 20. This is part of a series of meetings in District 1 to meet with constituents and will be hosted in Washington Park in conjunction with Earth Day. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

2019 CREEK TO BAY CLEANUP

You are invited to join your neighbors for the 17th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup on Saturday, April 27. Volunteers will be helping paint, plant, and mulch at Washington Park, Grape Day Park, Mountain View Park and Kit Cason Park. Registration is now open for volunteers. COMPOSTING WORKSHOP

The City of Escondido will host a free composting Workshop Saturday, May 11, 8:30 a.m.–10 a.m. at the Escondido Community Garden.

BE WATER SMART POSTER CONTEST

Every year Escondido 4th graders are challenged to use their conservation, science, and pollution prevention lessons, as well as artistic skill and creativity to design a poster around the theme “Be Water Smart”. City staff and Councilmembers are encouraged to vote for the 3 favorites. Winners will be announced at the May 8 City Council meeting. intranet.escondido.org/be-water-smart-contest.aspx
