San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Vista Sheriff’s Station
want the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with
a stabbing and burglary.
It happened just before 10:00 a.m. on March 21, 2016 at a home located near the
intersection of E. East Drive and N. Santa Fe Avenue in Vista. That’s where a male
suspect entered the house without permission and stabbed a 15-year-old female with
an unknown weapon.
About an hour earlier, the suspect had entered the house through the backyard and
asked for directions to a local business. The suspect left after getting the directions,
but returned a short time later and attacked the juvenile victim.
The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
The suspect is described as a 16 to 18 year-old Hispanic male, standing between 5’5”
and 5’10” tall and weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a grey or
black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and possibly a black San Diego Padres hat. He was last
seen riding a small green bicycle.
