Spring Grand Avenue Festival will showcase local talent

The Spring Grand Ave Festival on Sunday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., sponsored by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce, will be brimming with local entertainment on two stages featuring talent from professional and not for profit studios as well as high school performing arts students.

Some of the acts include Farr Elementary Folklorica, Off Broadway Dancers, Patio Playhouse and the San Pasqual Steel Drums. A complete list of entertainment is available at escondidochamber.org/grand-avenue-festival/

“We like to showcase local talent at the Grand Ave Festival. Stage time is in high demand, thus the addition of a second stage on the lawn of Chase Bank at the corner of Grand Ave and Orange,” said Chamber CEO Rorie Johnston.

The talent acts are chosen by committee members and are selected from the submission forms which are available at escondidochamber.org/grand-avenue-festival/. Local groups are encouraged to submit their acts for the May and October Grand Ave Festival.
