Smokey’s Lake Wohlford Café at 25484 Lake Wohlford Rd., Escondido has reopened and is adapting to the ‘new normal” regulations, including Monday’s newest restrictions from the San Diego County Health Department.
The café and bar is open for outdoor dining in full compliance with the County’s guidelines and the fire department’s approval. “We’ve had to adjust and adapt to the ever-changing dining requirements,” said the owner, Mary Kauu.
The restaurant had a retaining wall breach during the heavy rains in April this year. “We re-opened for full service on June 17,” said Kauu. “For the first time, we are offering a variety of local craft beer from Aftershock Brewery, domestic and imported beer, and a fine wine selection. The cafe is currently taking reservations, walk-in, and take-out orders. Please call (760) 525-8088 for reservations as we are limited to 11 tables for outdoor dining.”
Kauu praised the loyalty of their customers: “Blessings to our community for all the support we have been receiving!”
