Services for Seniors

The Information Resource Center, operated by the Foundation for Senior Wellbeing (a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) is a free comprehensive resource for North County seniors, their caregivers and families, dedicated to improving senior well-being.  The Center provides information about available resources in the areas of: housing, home repair, transportation, food/nutrition needs, emergency assistance, medical and mental health issues, legal issues, and more.  The information is available by phone or in person and provided by staff and volunteers specifically trained to communicate with seniors using patience and listening skills to research and recommend suitable resources.  Center volunteers will follow up on every inquiry to confirm results.  For information, contact the Information Resource Center at: 760-891-8176 or email:  The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at 131 Richmar Avenue, San Marcos 92069 (the building is located behind Fire Station #1 and shares the parking lot with the San Marcos Senior Activity Center).
