School holds ribbon cutting for STEM lab

Del Dios Academy of Arts and Sciences held a ribbon cutting for the new science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) laboratory at Del Dios Academy of Arts and Sciences on March 21. Northrop Grumman gave $100,000 for this lab.

Alfredo Ramirez, director of engineering at Northrop Grumman visited the lab and talked to the kids. Ramirez is director of engineering for the Autonomous Systems division. He is one of the original architects and designers of Global Hawk, an unmanned system capability that has changed the face of aviation enabling long endurance, high altitude collection of key intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information.
