School district, Chamber to hold college, career fair

Escondido Union High School District, in coordination with the Escondido Chamber of Commerce will be holding a College and Career Fair at Escondido High School on September 26, 5-8 p.m.

Students, their families and the community will have the opportunity to learn from more than 100 college and career representatives.

This annual event draws more than 2,000 students and their families.  Students are encouraged to meet with representatives from community college, state universities, private colleges, apprenticeship programs, and military.  Families and students are encouraged to attend open workshops to support students in their transition to post-secondary.  

The workshops at the event include such titles as “Financial Aid 101,” “Marketing Yourself for Scholarships,” “College Application Essays,” “Interview Etiquette 101,” “Job Shadow Day” and “NCAA Eligibility.”
