Tuesday, September 29, 6 p.m. at the Escondido Library, the public is invited to “National Security and Climate Change: Sustainable Focus: Setting the Stage for Tomorrow” with Rear Admiral Len Hering, US Navy (Retired), as the featured speaker.
Hering’s talk will be from 6–8 p.m. His subject will be renewable energy strategies.
Sponsored by the North County Climate Change Alliance, “the meeting’s discussion will address a range of topics drawn into public consciousness by the ongoing threat of climate change,” according to a spokesman.
The public is invited to the free meeting, which will provide essential information on the current issues in climate change. Susan Ryan from NC3A told the Times Advocate “Len Hering is a man who has served our country in uniform and is now serving this country by informing his fellow citizens on the viciousness of climate change.”
