There is a fascinating couple who reside in Escondido by the names of John & Tara Essien. They are the founders of Promise Land Ranch School, a non- tuition private Christian Elementary school providing for the educational needs of the poorest of the poor in Ghana, Africa.
Not only does the school provide an education for children who previously had no hope of attaining one, but they also provide for the children’s heartfelt needs such as food, water, and clothing.
The school is in its sixth year nowand is proud to have over 200 children along with an excellent administrative and teaching staff, all 100% funded by donors who sponsor the children.
The school’s USA team is having a “sponsor a child” dinner on Friday June 24 at 6 p.m. at Faith Harbor Church on 1111 E Washington Ave. in Escondido.
Enjoy authentic African food prepared by John and his wife, the founders of the school. Suggested minimum donation per adult plate is $10 and per child plate is $5.
This is a great opportunity foryour children to learn about those less fortunate in the world and to sponsor a child they can adopt as their sibling from another country and become pen pals!
