The Musical group, Pink Martini returns for one-night only at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall.
Drawing inspiration from a fabulous lineup of music, Pink Martini crosses genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop.
Pink Martini’s multilingual repertoire is a blend influenced by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and Tito Puente as well as Argentine tango, Brazilian samba, Italian folk, and romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and ’50s.
“Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure… if the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we’d be that band.” – Thomas Lauderdale, Bandleader/Pianist
Tickets for Pink Martini are $45-$95 and are on sale online at artcenter.org or at the Center ticket office at 340 N. Escondido Blvd., Escondido or by calling 800-988-4253. The ticket office is open Tuesday – Saturday, noon–6 p.m., and Sunday, noon–5 p.m.
