Patio Playhouse’s production of the classic of American theater “Our Town” is continuing from now through April 7 at the Patio Playhouse.
Winner of the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, “Our Town” follows the small town of Grover’s Corners through three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity.”
Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and eventually – in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die. One of the great works of American Theatre, “Our Town” has a long standing tradition of being used to teach the art of theatre.
Performances, which began March 22 continue through April 7 Fridays and Saturdays 7 p.m., Sundays, 2 p.m. with no performance on Friday April 5. There will be an Thursday performance on April 4.
Tickets are $10-$14. They are available at www.patioplayhouse.com.
