To celebrate Friday’s National Non-Profit Day, Pardee Homes announced its collaboration with A Step Beyond on their Dave Langlois Youth Center in Escondido.
When complete, the Center will help A Step Beyond continue to empower underserved children to transform their lives, families, and communities by providing opportunity to expand their expectations and ambitions through dance, academic support, and family services.
“As a Southern California homebuilder for nearly 100 years, we are honored to be partnering with an organization that makes such a positive impact on families in the San Diego region,” said Jimmy Ayala, division president of Pardee Homes San Diego. “Our team is excited to deliver a state-of-the-art Youth Center that will be available for future generations.”
Pardee Homes is serving as the building captain on the project and kicked off construction on the Center earlier this Summer. When finished, the Center will include administrative offices, a family counseling center and student and parent learning centers.
“We are thrilled to have Pardee Homes managing construction of our new Youth Center” Frank Foster, executive director at A Step Beyond told the Times-Advocate. “As an experienced builder, they have been instrumental in helping us expand our services to reach more children and families. This youth center would not have been possible without Pardee Homes, we are very grateful for their generosity and their expertise.”
As students move through A Step Beyond’s program, they are given opportunities to serve as role models for younger students and given the additional resources to prepare for graduation and college.
