Palomar Health Foundation appoints Debbie Young of Escondido to board



Palomar Health Foundation has appointed Debbie Young as a new board member at their January 26, 2016 meeting. The appointment is part of the board’s view toward in­creasing its board composition and diversity to more fully represent the North County communities served by Palomar Health District Hospi­tals. Several other nominees are be­ing considered for appointment at the Foundation Board’s upcoming on March 29.

Debbie Young is the president of Sculpt Nouveau, a specialty coating and surface finishes company in Es­condido, which she has managed for more than 20 years. She was raised in the Los Angeles area and moved to Escondido to start a family.

Young is a board member of Es­condido Rotary East and the Es­condido Community Child Devel­opment Center. She is very active in the community, supporting the Chamber of Commerce and now, Palomar Health.

Jean Larsen, president and chief philanthropy officer, is highly enthu­siastic over this new appointment. “Debbie has already demonstrated great interest, involvement and in­vestment as an advocate for Palomar Health within the community,” Lars­en says. “We are positively delight­ed with her recent appointment.”

Palomar Health Foundation is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organiza­tion raising annual funds to support the highest and most urgent needs of Palomar Health District Hospi­tals, which include Palomar Medical Center, Palomar Hospital-Down­town Campus, and Pomerado Hos­pital. Donations, pledges, corporate and service group support aids the District’s in its mission, “To heal, comfort, and promote health in the communities we serve.”
