There are so many different cuts of beef for us to cook with and enjoy. One of the forgotten types that is absolutely tender and delicious when prepared correctly, is flank steak. When this delicious cut of meat is cooked low and slow, it has that melt in your mouth type of texture and delicious flavor that we all enjoy.
This weeks On The Menu recipe is a super easy, THREE-ingredient main dish for those busy evenings. Who doesn’t love a flavorful, easy recipe after a long day at home taking care of the kids or coming home from a crazy day at work. Remember, low and slow brings out the delicious flavors in thismeal.
2 lbs flank steak
1 bottle of Newmans Own Balsamic Vinigarette salad dressing
1 package ( 1 1/2 cups ) crumbled blue cheese
Place 2 Tbl olive oil in a sauté pan. Heat up the oil on low and place the meat, salad dressing and blue cheese in the pan. Mix well. Cook the meat and mixture on low for approximately 20 minutes for medium rare steak. Flip meat over and mix sauce mixture halfway through. Serve with a vegetable and rice pilaf as a side! Any leftovers make delicious sandwiches the next day as well. You can even whip up some packaged aus jus for those next day french dips with a twist. Enjoy!
