Last week we asked area non-profits who we might not have mentioned in a previous collection of non-profits to send us information for inclusion in this week’s paper.
We have included them below. If we missed anyone, we will run them next week.

Escondido Creek Conservancy
The Escondido Creek Conservancy has been helping to preserve land throughout the Escondido Creek watershed since 1991. The Conservancy also provides watershed education programs to 2,200 youth and adults every year. This year, the Conservancy, was able to put two new properties into escrow: the 694-acre Mountain Gate property in the Hidden Meadows area, and the 282-acre John Henry Ranch near Lake Wohlford. At one time, approximately 147 homes were proposed for Mountain Gate, and in recent years there were attempts to develop the John Henry Ranch. Instead, with your help, the properties can be purchased and preserved forever, creating new nature preserves in northern Escondido where wildlife can thrive. In time, The Conservancy hopes to link all these properties to Daley Ranch, Lake Wohlford and Bottle peak, creating one of the most significant protected areas in North County!
