ST. STEPHEN CATHOLIC CHURCH

St. Stephen 2015 Women’s Retreat will be Sept. 4, 5 and 6 at Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula. Deacon Ralph Poyo will be the 2015 Retreat facilitator. His passion is about helping people experience the person of Christ in everyday life. Brochures are available for registration in the Church Narthex. Stop by the table after Mass to sign up.

Saturday August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. This is the dogma of the Church “that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory.” This is significant to Catholics because it spells out the hope for heaven. Not with our body but our souls may enjoy the promise of eternal salvation if we do good here on earth.

RCIA – (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is for anyone interested in learning about the Catholic Faith. Join us now on Sundays after the 9 a.m. Mass in the Youth Room for a low key – no pressure inquiry into our Catholic Faith. The RCIA process will officially begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22.

Registrations are now open for the Faith Formation 2015-2016 school year. If you have a kindergartner or child who is ready to prepare for Sacraments, please call or stop by the office during the week. Children who attended last school year will be automatically promoted and enrolled. A short registration form and deposit is required.

Christian Men’s Fellowship (CMF) will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 15 beginning with Mass celebrated by Fr. Elmer followed by breakfast, fellowship and discussion. All men are welcome, young and not so young. Even dads, sons and friends are most welcome!
