Local women in master’s program
Miami University’s Project Dragonfly has admitted a new cohort of students to its Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP). The AIP combines web-based graduate coursework through Miami University with face-to-face experiential learning at some of the nation’s premiere community learning institutions.
Escondido resident Courtney Goode was recently accepted into the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) and will be taking classes toward a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in the biological sciences from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.
As a first-year AIP student, Goode will complete web-based courses from Miami University with face-to-face experiential learning and field study through San Diego Zoo Global.

Escondido resident Megan Ziegler was recently accepted into the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) and will be taking classes toward a Master of Arts degree in biology from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.
As a first-year AIP student, Ziegler will complete web-based courses from Miami University with face-to-face experiential learning and field study through San Diego Zoo Global.
Miami University’s Project Dragonfly reaches millions of people each year through inquiry-driven learning media, public exhibits and graduate programs worldwide. Project Dragonfly is based in the department of biology at Miami University, a state university in Oxford, Ohio. Miami was established in 1809 and is listed as one of the eight original Public Ivies.

Local student graduates from Fort Hays State University
An Escondido resident is among the 470 who completed associate, bachelor’s or graduate degrees at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas in the summer 2016 term.
Michael Adam Sovacool received a Master of Professional Studies (human resource management).
Fort Hays State is one of six public universities in the Kansas Board of Regents system.
Graduates are arranged alphabetically by city of residence and ZIP code.
Named to Dean’s List
Oklahoma City University announced that Napoleon Rivera of Escondido has been named to the Summer 2016 Dean’s Honor Roll.
Dean’s Honor Roll status is awarded to students who successfully complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
