HomeGoods opened their 23,907 square-foot store earlier this month at 1352 West Valley Parkway. They hired 65 Escondido residents to work in their store providing locals with the opportunity to work in the community in which they live.
The Times-Advocate caught up with one of the new customers who visited on the first day. She commented. “I would say it was clean and organized. The items are similar to those other stores like Marshals and TJ Maxx, which are both owned by them.” She added, “The employees were very nice. Hope they stay new and clean.” She mentioned that she bought a shower organizer and a table runner for Easter and her mother bought a frog holding a “welcome” sign. Sounds like the store has something for everyone!
