Are you ready to go back to school? For those looking to further their education, or start a new and exciting career, fall enrollment has started at Escondido Adult School. Classes begin September 5.
The newest course offering at Escondido Adult School is Phlebotomy Technician. In addition to in-classroom instruction students will collect blood samples from real patients in clinical settings through an externship– preparing them for the certification exam to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. This is an 8-week program with lectures taking place on Saturdays. Students will need to reserve a spot at the mandatory orientation taking place on August 26.
Escondido Adult School offers technical training classes in a variety of in-demand fields including Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide, Medical Assistant/Medical Billing and Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Auto Technology, Computer Applications/Computer Aided Drafting, and Construction Trades. With some of the lowest fees in the county, there is a program or class to meet everyone’s career and education goals.
In addition to the technical training classes, Escondido Adult School provides classes in Adult Basic Education, High School Diploma completion/GED preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL). Many of these classes are available for no fee.
