New economic development director joins city

Amber Tarrac has joined the staff of the City of Escondido as the new Deputy Director of Economic Development.  Tarrac is a second generation San Diegan who can regularly be found riding horses on Escondido trails and enjoying Escondido’s open space, shopping, music, and dining.  You may also catch her salsa dancing to live music around town. 

With a Master’s degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University, Tarrac has gained a breadth of experience in municipal management and economic development over the past 12 years at both the local and state level.  She is committed to supporting businesses, the workforce, and contributing to a thriving community.
