Featuring special guests all three days, Nerd Con is planning its biggest and best convention yet, starting this weekend at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Escondido’s main venue for the arts is once again being transformed into a retreat for all things nerdy. Friday night is all about the preview party: pickup badges and enjoy the live entertainment.

Missing out on the preview? Here’s another incentive for buying tickets early and being a VIP: Saturday night features a VIP after-party that is exclusive to early birds. Exclusive entertainment

Tickets are always cheaper when you purchase early. Admission is limited on all days of the event.

Nerd Con will be kicking the fun off with an entire weekend of human sized Hungry Hippo, which is being featured as the live interactive game at this year’s Nerd Con. Using inflatable bouncers, players are tied to

a bungee cord and have to collect as many balls as possible to beat the rest of the players within a timed period.

“It’s great to see a North County geek convention like Nerd Con, especially since locals would either have to travel to Downtown San Diego or counties further up the state in order to enjoy similar events,” said Faith Orcino, who tabled at last year’s event as a featured artist who specializes in drawing and graphic design, among many other talents.

Saturday and Sunday will feature fashion shows
