Trinity Neighborhood Garden in Escondido will host two speakers of public interest Saturday May 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be an open house, refreshments, and two Master Gardeners who will speak on vegetable gardening and composting.
Trinity Neighborhood Garden is located at the rear of Trinity Episcopal Church property at 845 Chestnut St. It is one of the newest community gardens in Escondido. This garden is for everyone and you do not have to be a member of the church to participate.
There are 44 in-ground plots, 16 above-ground garden boxes and 2 roll-up tables for elderly and special needs. All plots rent for $35 per year. There are still spaces available for spring planting.
Trinity offers a Garden Gathering the 4th Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon for garden tours, speakers on interesting topics and refreshments. Refreshments are served when there are speakers and orientations for those who wish to rent a plot that day.
