Nancy J. West-Hogan, 79, Rogersville, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Springfield Skilled Care, Springfield.

She was born January 22, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of the late Dan & Jean (Colley) Darnell. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dan Darnell, Jr.

Nancy grew up in the Phoenix area and received her master’s Degree from Arizona State University.

She was a tenured art teacher in the Southern California high school system and a well-respected painter and goldsmith before moving from Escondido to Springfield, Missouri in 2002.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. West-Hogan is survived by a son, Greg West, Sr., Rogersville; a grandson, Greg West, Jr.; a granddaughter, Rianna West; a great-grandson, Mason William West, daughter-in-law, Tammie West Franz; and many other relatives and friends.

A gathering, celebrating her life, will be held at from 6 – 7 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.  Following cremation, she will be buried next to her family in Apache Cemetery in Arizona.
