Municipal Gallery art show in August will feature two local artists

“Enjoying the Park” by Patricia A Hunter, an artist whose works will be showcased at the upcoming exhibit at the Escondido Municipal Gallery.

Estate Attorney, Jacqueline Skay and now-retired Real Estate Broker, Pat Hunter, will present their latest works in Expressions II Gallery within the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Galley at 262 E. Grand Ave., August 10-31.

Skay’s painting subjects are mostly comprised of moments, people and places she has photographed around the world.  Hunter’s subjects are typically nature, figures, animals and commissioned pet portraits known as her Pawtraits.

They discovered each other’s passion to paint years ago as they were representing the same client.  Since then, they have been encouraging each other’s determination to excel.  The highly respected artist Richard Stergulz of The Green Art House has been regularly mentoring both artists over the past five or more years.

Both women are members of various professional associations:  Escondido Arts Partnership, Escondido Art Association, San Dieguito Art Guild, La Jolla Art Association and Carlsbad Oceanside Art League.
