A Temecula motorcyclist died Tuesday, August 16 after his motorcycle fell from a freeway bridge onto a city street.
Ryan Meyers, 31, was splitting lanes in morning traffic on southbound I-15 near where it intersects Hwy 78, when he sideswiped a car that was in the midst of a lane change. He lost control of his vehicle and went over the concrete barrier, falling about 36 feet onto North Washington Avenue.
According to the county Medical Examiner Meyers suffered a fractured skull. He died three hours later at the hospital. Meyers was an active duty member of the U.S. military who had been on his way to work.
