More city facilities reopen

The city of Escondido is starting to reopen a number of facilities that had been closed by the coronavirus. These scheduled reopenings will go forward unaltered by the announcement Monday by the County that it was reimposing some restrictions on businesses and closing some county buildings again.

According to a spokesman for the city, “We just had our team meeting and we have concluded that we can still safely operate as we have been with our safety protocols in place.”

The following locations and programs will be open or running starting July 6:

Police & Fire Headquarters Lobby

East Valley Community Center

Recreation Programs

As a reminder, City Hall is open and accepting both walk-ins and appointments. All guests must check-in at the Information and Check-in booth located near the fountain. To save time, the city  encourages residents to do business online with the City using its Online Services Portal.
