California’s Highway 395 vacationland will be explored at the August 12 meeting of the Senior Anglers of Escondido. Jeff Simpson from the Mono County Tourism Commission will present a Power Point and talk on the outdoor opportunities for the Eastern Sierra.
Simpson’s talk will focus on fishing, hiking, camping and the history of Mono County. He will also show examples of why the area is becoming known as the west coast’s premier change of Fall colors.
Senior Anglers of Escondido is open to all anglers age 50 and above with meetings held the second Friday of each month, at the Park Avenue Community Center, 210 Park Ave., Escondido, 92025. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., meetings start at 9:30 a.m.
Members of the club enjoy local freshwater fishing, summer saltwater charters, RV camping, and community service to help kids go fishing. senioranglersofescondido.net/
