The Escondido Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly networking Business After 5 meeting Thursday, July 14, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the California Center for the Arts, 340 N Escondido blvd., Escondido Museum Courtyard
The Museum is exhibiting: “My Hero: Contemporary Art & Superhero Action”. So join in the fun and come dressed as your favorite Superhero.
Chick-fil-A to offer free food on Tuesday, July 12, `Cow Appreciation Day’
If you dress up like a cow you can get some free food at Escondido’s
Chick-fil-A (and eight others throughout the county). The restaurants at 1290 Auto Park Way in Escondido and 587 Grand Ave. in San Marcos, are preparing to give away free food to as many as 10,000 customers on Tuesday, July 12, as part of the chain’s nationwide promotion called “Cow Appreciation Day.” On that day, Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide will offer a free entrée to any customer who visits a restaurant dressed as a cow.
Adult customers who dress in any type of cow attire, whether it’s head- to-hoof or sporting a cow-spotted accessory such as cow-pattern hat, scarf, tie or purse, will be rewarded with a free entrée of their choice, such as an Original Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap or Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit. Children can receive a free Kid’s Meal for dressing in a cow costume. The Cow Appreciation Day celebration will be held from store opening through 7 p.m. Breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. Limit of one free entrée per customer per day.
A special website, www.CowAppreciationDay.com, features costume ideas and additional FAQ details on the customer appreciation day promotion, as well as downloadable cow spots, masks and other bovine-themed items customers can use to create their own costumes.

Developer roundtable held in Escondido
The San Diego Economic Development Corporation sponsored a developer roundtable (mostly commercial or mixed-use developers) with the five Innovate 78 cities on June 29 in the Mitchell Room of Escondido City Hall.
About 30 developers attended, along with representatives from the five cities.
The goal of the roundtable was to hear from developers along the corridor about the challenges they have experienced and their ideas for improvements. Similarly, the cities shared their ideas and goals for development projects along the 78.
New business has a clue
A new business called “Clue Avenue” has opened in downtown Escondido.
Clue Avenue is an Escape Room style venue that just opened in Downtown, located above the Patio Playhouse on Kalmia Avenue.
