longtime Escondido resident, loved working with his hands
Michael Edward LuMaye, (67) from Escondido, California passed away suddenly of natural causes on Monday, November 12. He was born in Compton on July 23, 1951.
Mr. LuMaye attended the school of life and was a lifelong Southern California resident. He was a young entrepreneur, and business man. A true MacGyver and Renaissance Man, he had many passions. He enjoyed working with his hands and creating wonders from his labor. His spirit is carried on by his wife, sister, four children, four grandchildren, and extended family from all walks of life.
During his time Mr. LuMaye led by example and passed down many things along the way. He said, “Spend lots of time with your children and they will grow up slower.” He always told us to “keep your heads up” “live in the moment, and you won’t miss a thing.” He taught us to be patient and kind. He was respected and admired by many and loved by all who were fortunate to know him.
A viewing was held to celebrate his life on Monday, November 17 at California Funeral Alternatives, in Escondido.
