Melva J Johnston, 88, passed away on May 23, 2020, at her home in Tucson, Arizona of natural causes.
Mrs. Johnston was born March 18, 1932 in Mills, New Mexico. She lived most of her life in Escondido, California, where she retired from the school district. She and her loving husband, Roger spent a short time in Oregon. They settled in Arizona in 2000.
Mrs. Johnston was a loving, caring, supportive wife to her first love, Roger who she married at a young age. She had three children Norma Hooper, Johnny Johnston (deceased) and Denny Johnston; six grandchildren, Sandra Rocker (Stevie Sr), Michelle Pickron (Andy), Jenny Johnston, Ryan Johnson, Jeanette Fletcher (Devin) and Taylor Johnston, and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnston loved going to the river and camping with her family, traveling with her husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren whenever she could.
Memorial Services will be held in Yuma, Arizona at a date later to be decided. The family has asked that donations be made to the hospice facility that took such great gentle care of her: Traditions Point of Fight 1840 E University Dr. Mesa, AZ 85203
