Lord Puffer Tobacconist in Escondido will celebrate its second anniversary with “Fuente Fever 2019” August 17, from noon to close.
The first “Fuente Fever” last year raised $60,000 for underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic, while providing a venue for several hundred cigar lovers to dine, smoke and network. All in a good cause: the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (www.cf-cf.org,) a nonprofit that provides access to education for children in the Dominican Republic along with food, medical and dental.
This event is the largest West Coast Fuente cigar event and cigar Family Charitable foundation fundraiser.
The reigning family of premium cigars since 1912 will be present, aka cigar royalty Carlito Fuente jr, Liana Fuente and Cynthia Fuente.
There will be food to purchase, including barbecue and other smoked foods. The beer bar is sponsored by Ballast Point.
Live music will be provided by a six piece Cuban band flown in for the occasion. Multiple Grammy-award winner Arturo Sandoval will make an appearance sometime during the afternoon.
Lord Puffer is located at 1315 Las Villas Way, Escondido, near the intersection of El Norte Parkway & Centre City Parkway.
