Columbine Landscape, based in Escondido, won three awards for its La Jolla Classic Garden in La Jolla in the 2017 Beautification Awards presented by the San Diego chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA.)
Columbine won in three categories:
Residential Construction Large category
Residential Maintenance Large category
Landscape Lighting Small category
The awards were presented in a series of awards that honored 21 local landscape contractors for excellence in landscape installation and maintenance, demonstrating the best quality, construction, originality and attention to detail on 2016 projects.
Fifty-seven awards were presented in 31 categories culled from 96 entries, which encompassed categories covering residential and commercial landscape construction, maintenance and renovation, along with water features, outdoor lighting and water-saving California-friendly landscaping.
The three top tier awards included: Brightview Landscape Services, which received the Judges Award for the Flower Hill Promenade project in Del Mar; Benchmark Landscape, which received the Presidential Award for the Terrace Models project in Carlsbad; and Nature Design Landscaping, which received the Sweepstakes Award for the Del Mar Residence project in Del Mar.
Award entries were judged by a panel of expert CLCA members who closely inspected each nomination for the quality of workmanship and materials utilized. Each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have demonstrated proper execution.
