Local cooking students partner with Uber/restaurants

Cuising class at Orange Glen

Students from Orange Glen High School’s Baking and Pastry as well as Advanced Culinary Arts recently participated in a project with UberEats and two local restaurants.

Baking and Pastry students partnered with Cravory Cookies to compete for the best cookie to be featured on the UberEats app. Advanced Culinary students worked hard to create the most creative menu item in collaboration with Los Primos.  Students worked hard to create their menu item, cost recipes, market their menu item and present to a panel of judges.

The winning cookie from Baking and Pastry was a “White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie” and the winning burrito was called “Los Tres Amigos” and featured shrimp, chicken, adodaba, and a homemade guacamole. Both winning items will be featured on the UberEats app from April 23-April 30.
