Brothers of 6 Charities, Inc., put a “helping others” exclamation point on 2020!
Through a variety of successful efforts, Brothers of 6, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, came through for thousands of kids and people less fortunate in North County San Diego. The organization participated in a toy drive, a bike drive and a food bank assistance program.
Brothers of 6 participated in a toy drive sponsored by the Sierra Madre Cantina, Boys & Girls Club and the Escondido Police Department. Brothers of 6 contributed $733.34 to buy toys as well as created a toy donation box to brighten the Christmas of 150 kids.
It also contributed to an area bike drive sponsored by Interfaith Community Services-Escondido. The nonprofit contributed $1,297.27 to buy new bicycles and $306.63 to buy new helmets. The total donation of $1,603.90 to Interfaith allowed 12 lucky kids to get bicycles and helmets for Christmas.
Continuing their holiday efforts, Brothers of 6 also donated $1,362.76 to the North County Food Bank. “Delta Dental generously matched our donation,” explained Brothers of 6 Treasurer Bill McNaughton “The food bank told us that the $2,725.52 donation provided our community with 13,628 meals. That’s amazing!”
McNaughton added, “I appreciate everyone who helped Brothers of 6 by donating to these various causes during the holiday season, whether you donated your time or you made actual monetary donations. You truly made a difference! Special thanks goes to On-Point Automotive, Mike Seymour and MSE Landscape, Deanna’s Gluten Free Bakery, Bob Trimble and Specialty Meats, David Tivadar’s Quiet Curtains and Rick Thorpe!”
