Last week Assemblywoman Marie Waldron signed a letter along with her colleagues, urging an audit of Planned Parenthood in light of the recent allegations of the organization profiting from the sale of human tissues.
“I stand with my colleagues in requesting an audit of Planned Parenthood in light of the recent findings that have deeply disturbed many Californians,” said Assemblywoman Waldron. “A review needs to take place to ensure that no state tax dollars are being used for illegal actions. Planned Parenthood receives millions of taxpayers’ dollars each year. They should be held accountable if these accusations are found to be true.”
In addition, Asm Waldron recently sent a letter addressed to Jennifer Kent, Director, Department of Health Care Services, Health and Human Services Agency requesting answers on Planned Parenthood general fund monies appropriated, repeat abortion percentages under Medi-Cal. and other legality issues.
