The article, “Council did not pre-judge library issue…” raised more issues than it settled. It is late in the game, however, as I digest the council’s decision, to pursue negotiations with a single entity, I am puzzled by the lack of interest in considering other sources.
Councilman Morasco mentions a lack of interest in investigating a possible contract with the county. His excuse; “That wasn’t an option that was included,” is pretty weak. What’s the problem? As elected officials, members of the council should be investigating and exploring as many avenues of change as possible. Why the apparent fixation on this single entity? Whether it was intended or not, this article raises more questions than it settles.
