It is a huge disservice to your readers and residents of the area to publish (David Ross, 03/15) such a biased, one-sided praising of the Newland Sierra project. This sycophant for the developers has drunk their kool aid and regurgitated their contents on your readers.
The housing shortage we face in the county will not be addressed by Mr Ross getting in bed with and servicing developers. The shortage is one of affordable housing. Why would supposedly responsible people allow such a reprehensible article touting the need for more cancerous urban sprawl?
We strongly urge the Advocate to publish (if you are in any way fair) the facts of what this land grab will do to: air quality, traffic, evacuation routes, water usage, quality of life and the vast majority of area residents opposing this project, which is the size of the city of Del Mar.
What are you prepared to do?
